Editing Transitions

For our movie to look really good, in the editing stages of our film we needed to thing about transitions that we could add to either merge clips together or to make certain parts scary with a blurt or a shaky image. So for this I was working on the MacBook and First of all started adding little fade in’s and fade outs to some clips so that they work well together and that it ran smoothly.

Then after the clips were moving swiftly with one another I decided to add in other transitions such as flashes and then colour changes making the mood of the character relate to the mood of the film. Such as if Danny was scared then the colour would change to a washed out look which worked well. For this transition I used iMovie. This was really helpful because it was quite straight forward on how to use the transition and even though there wasn’t a lot to use there was still a sufficient amount and they all worked really well.
